Patagonia Donates Corporate Tax Cut to Fight Climate Change

You may know Patagonia from those comfy-yet-overpriced fleece sweaters that keep you warm in the winter, or those trucker hats everyone in hip neightborhoods loves to rock on weekends. But few know that Patagonia, as a brand, is an active participant in environmental efforts worldwide, including ocean protection campaigns, grassroots activism, and unwavering commitment to give 1% of their sales to support environmental organizations around the world.

What's even more astounding that the Rose Marcario, CEO of Patagonia has committed to donate the entire $10 million corporate tax cut to fight climate change. As Upworthy reports, Rose made her position on this issue clear: "“Instead of putting the money back into our business, we’re responding by putting $10 million back into the planet. Our home planet needs it more than we do.”

We love this gesture!
